Description
A long dry spell hovers over the land, and the world crinkles and cracks, surrendering it's moist breath to the parched sky.
And then one day a change rolls in. Heavens doors yawn wet and wide, and for days and weeks it rains. Leaves dance and spin to the song of the merry winds. Let go, let go, sail, fall, careen, down down down to the winterwild streams below. Red, orange, yellow, bright, joyful. Leaping, swimming, bobbing they dive, letting go, taking off, exhaling.
Leaves. Here's to you, beautiful ones. You make the world so festive after a big rain!
This is a digital poem painting done on my ipad using a number of apps including icolorama and others that I don't remember any more:")
I like the textured leaves and trees, the bright reds, greens, blues, and the semi-abstract nature of this digital painting. The texturing was done using a number of different brushes and masks so that some parts have a strong three dimensional quality that pops right off the page.
