Description
Here is a abstract portrait of a woman and her little dog sitting on a park bench together. I love taking photos when I'm in town walking along because oftentimes these images are the ones that speak the most of the heart, revealing something so intimate and real about this amazing planet we all share together. These two seemed to be sharing such peace, as well as a certain beautiful transparency, as they sat there together enjoying the day as it streamed by.
This is a digital poem-painting, where I used an ipad to play with and texture my original image (which was shot with a slow shutter camera setting), arriving eventually at this soft, veiled portrait of two close friends, sharing communion together. The beautiful filmy quality to this image came about through layering a shot of the violet-grey rock wall down at the dog beach over the tops of my subjects. So mysterious and poetic!
