Description
I have a soft spot for street musicians. It used to be our tradition back in Vermont, to take banjos and fiddles down to the Grand Union parking lot and play for all the shoppers as they waltzed into and out of the store. We'd always make just enough to take ourselves to the movies, and sometimes even buy a tub of buttered popcorn as well!
This one was inspired by a group of enthusiastic street musicians I encountered on day down on the Santa Cruz Mall. Such youthful passion bubbled from their music! I had fun feeling into their energy with my paintbrush, painting on a canvas that I'd first covered with joint compound to give it interesting texture.
