Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Artist's Description

In the early 60's my family acquired a small, roundish, black and white TV, a prize that was often the resting place for the family bobcat Hopi. On New Years day, we'd fire up that TV and sit around watching the Rose Parade with all those beautiful flowery floats and strident marching bands. Since our TV was a black and white model, we had to imagine the colors of the flowers, and they were transformed in our minds eyes from various shades of grey, to glorious glowing reds, yellows and pinks.

Well, another New Year is dancing through our neighborhood, and my palette knives are reminded of all those bright imaginary roses we feasted on at the beginning of each new year. What fun to be swimming in all those cheerful colors, and a dancing cat too!

This one is painted on a canvas that I stiffened from behind with cardboard, just to give strength to the canvas during the painting process, and make it easier to mess around with my painting knives. It worked well, and I...

About Suzy Norris

Suzy Norris

About a year ago now, something wonderful happened. I'd been going through an increasingly challenging time with my health, which has been a major teacher in my life, and was being brought to my knees by the experience. When my dear friend and partner Fred encouraged me to take up art, I was touched by an excitement that was like a thousand smiles singing inside me! I've always been an adventurous one,,, artistic, musical, and a great lover of spontaneous play. For much of my life, I've made my living as a luthier, specializing in unusual, made-up violin family instruments, as well as a whole host of flutes, harps, marimbas, tile-a-phones, etc. etc. But until last year, I'd never spent much time with a paintbrush, or let myself be...
