Clutter. Dust. A lifetime of complexity. It is time dear ones, to get out the broom and sweep. Such a good feeling, emptying what is no longer needed for the journey! The heart grows light and full of smiles as space is cleared, and again clarity and joy hum and glow freely.

Here is a simple watercolor of broom and sun done quickly on soft printing paper. This paper glows luminously with one pass of the paintbrush, but easily grows muddy with complexity. Elegant, beautiful, this broom sweeps and brightens, inviting us to remember the quiet stillness inside each moment.

About a year ago now, something wonderful happened. I'd been going through an increasingly challenging time with my health, which has been a major teacher in my life, and was being brought to my knees by the experience. When my dear friend and partner Fred encouraged me to take up art, I was touched by an excitement that was like a thousand smiles singing inside me! I've always been an adventurous one,,, artistic, musical, and a great lover of spontaneous play.
