There is nothing quite so wonderful as a house full of song.

I am lucky enough to live with a claw hammer banjo player Fred, pictured
here with our young pup Gully. Fred's fingers dance over the strings of his banjo, and he is an absolute wiz at writing songs, keeping me
entertained with his made up verses all day long.
Many of his songs are just hilarious,
while others are poignant, deep, mysterious and oh so beautiful! We both enjoy
playing all
sorts of instruments, and as well, make our living building all manner of (mostly stringed,,,though not entirely!) musical instruments.

Our dog Gully loves music, having been raised from puppy-hood surrounded
by banjos, fiddles, marimbas,
plink plinks, flutes, and lots of singing.

About a year ago now, something wonderful happened. I'd been going through an increasingly challenging time with my health, which has been a major teacher in my life, and was being brought to my knees by the experience. When my dear friend and partner Fred encouraged me to take up art, I was touched by an excitement that was like a thousand smiles singing inside me! I've always been an adventurous one,,, artistic, musical, and a great lover of spontaneous play.
