Description
When we were kids my sister Nancy and I were both learning to play the violin, and we took great delight in a certain duet from our violin book called 'Fishy scales". Oh how we loved to play those fishy harmonies together!!! We sawed away on two violins, but our favorite was to play it on our teeth! I'd take one part and Nancy the other, and we'd pick our front teeth while mouthing the harmony and melody parts. The trick of course was to get through the whole tune without bursting into gales of laughter! Later we discovered the glory of using flat picks on our teeth, which made us quite a bit louder and gave us great tone too!
So here's to you, dear sister of mine!
This painting is one of my many dreamlike wanderings welling up from deep down in that sea of song!
