Description
This is a digital collage I created using an old b&w photo of myself as a young gypsy fiddler, and overlaying a couple of shots of the ocean and beach to give the whole image a wonderfully surreal feel.
Back when I was much younger, my dear friend Teri and I took a life-changing adventure, setting off across the country from Oregon with one back pack between us, a fiddle and a guitar, and hitching all the way to New York and up into Vt, before heading home through Canada and the northern part of the USA. At every on-ramp, we pulled out our instruments and played for the sky, the trees, the cars, and ourselves. It was an amazing, heart opening journey, and we made it across the country on $8 between us!
It was a rare and wonderful pilgramage for two young women to embark on, and one I'm so glad I didn't pass by. This is a tribute to my dear friend Teri, who recently passed on. Go in peace, sweet friend.You are so loved!
