Sometimes you think a painting is all finished and then, while it's up on the wall drying, it keeps asking for just a little more fun painttime together! And so I wasn't surprised when yesterday this one jumped back onto my easel, and here she is again, with a brand new look!
This is a painting I did recently to help celebrate my dear mama's 88th birthday. Mom LOVES plants and animals, and through her life has brought hundreds and thousands of wilted neglected plants back to life with her tender, wise care. And cats, there are always cats, sometimes 2 or 3 piled in her lap together, relaxed, purring, luxurious. Here's to you, my wonderful mama!
